‘JD Ball Out 3x3 National Tour’ reaches 10th Anniversary



JD Ball Out 3x3 will celebrate its 10th anniversary this summer and the dates and locations for the 2024 instalment have been revealed.


The JD Ball Out 3x3 National Tour – sponsored by JD and supported by Basketball England - will feature five qualifying events taking place across England in July and August, culminating with two days of national finals in London.

As well as returning to the capital, the UK's signature 3x3 tournament will stop at Newcastle, Manchester, Nottingham, and Essex.


Qualifying dates

·       27/28 July – Finsbury Park, London

·       3 August – Vertu Motors Arena, Newcastle

·       4 August – National Basketball Performance Centre, Manchester

·       10 August – Nottingham Wildcat Arena, Nottingham

·       11 August – Essex Sport Arena, Essex

·       17/18 August - Finsbury Park, London

The quicker, short format of basketball, considered to be the number one urban sport in the world, will feature at this summer’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games after making its debut at Tokyo 2020, where USA and Latvia won the competition’s inaugural gold in the women’s and men’s categories, respectively.



3x3 was also the jewel in the crown of at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, with Smithfield in Birmingham playing host to an unforgettable 3x3 tournament.

England’s Myles Hesson, Orlan Jackman, Kayne Henry and Jamell Anderson – lead by founder and CEO of Ball Out 3x3 Julius Joseph – won England’s first-ever basketball gold in the competition, while England’s women - Hannah Jump, Chantelle Handy, Cheridene Green and Shanice Beckford-Norton - completed a triumphant night for the sport with a hard-earned silver medal.
